1. Titolare del trattamento
Unleaf Advisoring S.r.l.s.
Via Sebino 11, 00199 Roma (RM), Italia
P.IVA 17905611004
Email: info@unleaf.it
2. Quali dati trattiamo
- data, ora ed esito tecnico della consegna di ciascun messaggio (consegnato, respinto);
| Fornitore | Ruolo | Dove |
|---|---|---|
| OVH | hosting dei dati | Francia |
| Google Cloud | hosting dei dati | Belgio |
| Cloudflare | rete di distribuzione e protezione | UE / USA |
| Zendesk | assistenza tecnica a Brevo | UE / USA |
8. I tuoi diritti
Puoi esercitare in qualsiasi momento i diritti previsti dagli artt.

Privacy Notice — TravelWatch Italy
TravelWatch Italy newsletter · Notice pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) · Last updated: 28 October 2026 · Version 1.2
This notice describes how Unleaf Advisoring S.r.l.s. processes the personal data of subscribers to TravelWatch Italy, our weekly travel security newsletter, pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR").
1. Data Controller
Unleaf Advisoring S.r.l.s.
Via Sebino 11, 00199 Rome (RM), Italy
VAT no. 17905611004
Email: info@unleaf.it
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as the conditions set out in Article 37 GDPR do not apply. For any matter concerning your data, please write to privacy@unleaf.it.
2. What data we process
We ask for one thing only: your email address. We do not ask for your name, company or job title. We do not buy contact lists, and we do not harvest addresses from public sources to subscribe you without your asking.
Alongside your address, the sending service generates certain technical data that you do not provide directly:
- the date, time and delivery outcome of each message (delivered, bounced);
- the date and time recorded when you sign up and when you confirm, which form the record of your consent (sections 4 and 7).
3. Purpose and legal basis
We process your address to send you the newsletter and, should you withdraw your consent, only to respect your choice and to be able to demonstrate it. We do not use it to approach you about other Unleaf Advisoring services, and we neither disclose nor sell it to third parties for their own purposes.
The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given freely when you subscribe and withdrawable at any time, without having to give a reason and with no consequences of any kind.
We keep the record of your consent and of any withdrawal (sections 2, 4 and 7) on a different basis: our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in being able to demonstrate consent and its withdrawal, and to defend ourselves in the event of a dispute. Your address on the suppression list is also used so that we do not write to you again once you have withdrawn.
4. How we obtain consent, and how we evidence it
We use double opt-in: once you enter your address in the form, you receive an email asking you to confirm. Until you click that link you are not subscribed and you receive nothing; the link expires after 30 days. This prevents anyone from subscribing you with your address without your knowledge.
We retain a record of that journey — the form submission, the consent wording you accepted, and the date and time of confirmation — because the GDPR requires us to be able to demonstrate consent, not merely to collect it.
5. Where the data is held, and who processes it for us
The newsletter is sent using Sendinblue SAS (trading as Brevo), 17 rue de Salneuve, 75017 Paris, France, acting as our processor under an agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR. Brevo's Data Protection Officer can be reached at dpo@brevo.com.
Your data is held within the European Union: Brevo's infrastructure runs on OVH (France) and Google Cloud (servers in Belgium). Sending is likewise carried out by Brevo on its own infrastructure, without recourse to third-party email providers. If you have switched off tracking, issues instead reach you from our own mailbox, hosted by Aruba S.p.A. (Italy), which acts as data processor on our behalf: without the pixel and with direct links.
| Provider | Role | Location |
|---|---|---|
| OVH | data hosting | France |
| Google Cloud | data hosting | Belgium |
| Cloudflare | content delivery and protection | EU / USA |
| Zendesk | technical support to Brevo | EU / USA |
The US-based providers act on ancillary functions (content delivery and support), not on the storage of subscriber addresses. Any transfers outside the European Union take place under the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, supplemented by additional measures.
6. Sending statistics and open tracking
We build no profiles and we do not measure your level of interest. Individual open and click events are not attributed to you: your address does not appear in the sending platform's logs. What remains for each issue are the overall counts — how many opens and clicks in total — which do not allow anyone to be identified.
One item of data does remain linked to your contact record: the date of your most recent open, which the platform detects through a pixel contained in the message and retains in order to identify inactive addresses. We do not record which issue was opened, nor clicks, and we do not use this data for any other purpose. The legal basis is your consent, given when you subscribe.
The pixel is also present in the email asking you to confirm your subscription, which reaches you before your subscription is complete. There it reports the opening anonymously: the event is counted in the total but is not linked to your address, and your contact record is only created when you confirm. The same applies to clicks on the links in that email, including the one to this notice. The confirmation email tells you this before the button.
The pixel is served from our own subdomain link.unleaf.it. You can stop your email
client from loading the pixel by setting it not to download images automatically; some
automated mailbox protection systems may still load it. Links in the newsletter also run
through the same subdomain, so that you are not sent to third-party domains. You can also switch
off tracking at any time from the link at the foot of every issue, and continue to receive the
newsletter as normal: from the next issue onwards, issues reach you without the pixel, and the
date of your most recent open is deleted within one day. Once a year we will ask you to confirm that you wish to keep receiving it.
No decision concerning you is taken by automated means.
7. Retention
We keep your address for as long as you remain subscribed. When you withdraw your consent, you stop receiving the newsletter straight away. We keep only your address and the date of withdrawal on a suppression list, together with the record of consent described in sections 2 and 4, so that we can respect your choice and demonstrate it, for 10 years.
The 10-year period corresponds to the applicable ordinary limitation period. We delete the other fields of your contact record, including the date of your most recent open, and we use the data we keep for no other purpose.
Published issues remain available in the newsletter's archive: they are editorial documents and contain no subscriber data.
8. Your rights
You may exercise the rights set out in Articles 15-22 GDPR at any time: access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and portability. You may also withdraw your consent whenever you wish.
The quickest way to withdraw it is the unsubscribe link at the foot of every issue: it takes effect immediately and calls for no explanation. If you receive the newsletter without tracking, the unsubscribe link opens an email: we act on it within two working days. Alternatively, for this and for any other right, write to privacy@unleaf.it and we will respond within one month.
You may object at any time to the retention based on our legitimate interest. We may continue to keep the record of consent and of its withdrawal where we need it to defend ourselves in the event of a dispute, and your address on the suppression list, which ensures that we do not write to you again.
If you believe the processing infringes the GDPR, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
9. Changes
Should we amend this notice, we will update the date and version number at the top of the page. Where the changes concern substantive aspects of the processing, we will tell you in an issue of the newsletter before they take effect.
